What do you think?
Posted by emanoyhl on Friday, August 06, 2004 (09:38:07) (2357 reads)
Well, what do you guys think of the changeover? So far one comment is that it is way more streamlined, and I believe it is more direct to the point. We are coming up with some great ideas for this site and how we want it to be, so bear with us.Please let us know your thoughts and suggestions for what you would like to see here. Email us or post your comments with the "comments" link. You can also vote in our poll located to the right. Do not worry, some features from the old site are being reworked to fit into here such as the Never Ending Story and the Galleries. Until then, let's see some posting going on in here! Hugs to all and thank you all for making this a great site! Remember to check out the FAQ if you need help!

CHICAGO - Dave Hooker, founder of the Bear Quay website, died July 5 at the age of 64.
Dave, a longtime resident of Chicago, had established both the Bear Quay site at www.mindspring.com/~bearquay/quay.html in 1995 and Chub Quay (which recently celebrated it's seventh anniversary) at www.mindspring.com/%7Echubquay/chubquay.html in 1997. Before his retirement in 1995, he had worked at International Harvester. We was also active in the Chicago chapter of MENSA, the Harvard Lesbian and Gay Caucus and the Fourth Presbyterian Church of Chicago. As of press time, there are no reports on cause of death.

Posted by underbearboy on Friday, July 09, 2004 (16:19:44) (3601 reads)
BEAR CAFE (NYC) Links to Bear Artists, Arts Organizations & Businesses World-Wide
BEAR CAFE (NYC) offers an up-to-date, essential list of Bear Resources (over 140 to date) for the Metro-NYC, and the North-East Region - especially useful for those living in or visiting this area. Please visit our LINKS page at: http://www.bearcafe.org
Especially noteworthy on our site is a growing list of Bear / Bear-supportive individuals, organizations, and businesses that specifically create or nurture Bear music, song, art, photography, film, video, writing and theater. (Some of these folks have been showcased at BEAR CAFE (BC) - demonstrating their love of both Bears and Cubs, and of an inclusive Bear community.) Please support Bear artists by purchasing their original work, prints or CD's, going to their concerts/shows/readings... and with your donations! And please let each know that you found out about him through BEAR CAFE - creating this list is part of BC's vision, and a continuing labor of love!

INSIDE Bear Magazine Subscriptions?
Posted by emanoyhl on Tuesday, April 27, 2004 (19:10:58) (1227 reads)
Would you pay $2 a month to remain a member of INSIDE Bear Magazine's website? Giving you access to everything this site has to offer, and NO advertising?
Or, is this site not really worth it? We were thinking that $2 a month is really a small fee, that would help in renovating and keeping this site hassle free. That's only $24 a year!
What do you guys think? Let's vote. The poll is to the right. Happy Voting! Comments appreciated!
